$3 Craps Fremont

  1. Answer 1 of 29: Does it still exist anywhere on the Strip or Downtown?
  2. Golden Gate (also Riviera & Circus Circus) usually has a $3 craps table open as well. Not sure about other downtown props.

The Fremont Hotel & Casino is located on the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas next to Binion’s Gambling Hall. It is right across the street from the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, Four Queens, and The D. This part of the Fremont Street Experience is commonly referred to as the four corners since there are four casinos located on the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street.

Fremont Hotel & Casino first opened in May 1956 and it was the tallest building in the entire state of Nevada at the time. In 1963, the casino expanded by adding another 14-story tower and one of the first vertical parking garages in Las Vegas. In 1983, Sam Boyd purchased the casino from Allen Glick’s Argent Corporation. Currently, Boyd Gaming Corporation is still the owner of Fremont Casino.

There is no self-parking available at Fremont today, however, valet parking is an option. This is complimentary if you are a guest of the hotel but you are expected to tip for the service. Otherwise, the last price we saw for valet parking was $10.

Las Vegas Craps Odds. Most craps tables on the Las Vegas Strip offer 3/4/5 times odds. This means that a player can wager three times the flat bet on a 4 and 10, four times on a five and 9, and five times on a six and eight. Boyd Gaming, seen above, must pay $300,000 for the detainment of a Fremont Hotel Casino slot player (Image: Las Vegas Review-Journal). No one gives a crap about your $3 craps action.

Sitting at just over 30,000 square feet, the casino floor at Fremont is quite small, even relative to other downtown Las Vegas casinos. In addition to the main gaming floor being small, the ceilings are low and this can cause smoke from the table games to linger and become thick, especially during peak hours.

As this is a Boyd Gaming property the one upside of this casino is that your slot and table game play will be part of Boyd’s players program. Otherwise, the casino floor is outdated and there is really nothing special about it other than a prime location downtown. It is definitely a casino that caters to low limit players.

The table game offering includes Let It Ride and Pai Gow Poker in addition to classics such as blackjack and craps. Furthermore, there are plenty of electronic gaming machines (like video poker and slots) throughout the casino floor so you’ll be sure to find a game or two that interests you. Keno is also available.

Baccarat at Fremont

Baccarat is not offered on the casino floor at Fremont.

Blackjack at Fremont

The blackjack games at Fremont have average rules such as the dealer must hit on a soft 17 and no doubling allowed after splitting. There are $3 and $5 minimums on tables that pay 3:2, which is actually difficult to find elsewhere in Las Vegas. However, many of the games are 6:5, so you’ll want to check the rules before sitting down and playing. The number of decks range from single-deck, double-deck, and six-deck.

Craps at Fremont

The craps games at Fremont Casino offer some of the worst rules in all of downtown with odds of 5x. However, the tables are typically very crowded due to the central location of the casino on the Fremont Street Experience. The minimum wager requirement starts as low as $5.

Roulette at Fremont

Double zero roulette is available on the casino floor at Fremont.

Other Table Games at Fremont

In addition to blackjack, craps and roulette Fremont offers a few other table games which we have listed below.

– Let It Ride
– Pai Gow Poker
– Three Card Poker
– Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker

High Limit Room at Fremont

Unfortunately, there is no high limit area for table games at Fremont.

Slots at Fremont

With over 1,000 gaming machines on the floor, Fremont has plenty to offer when it comes to slots. They even have a Megabucks slot machine and other progressives. Also, there is an area deemed “Penny Lane”, where you can find a host of penny slots.

High Limit Slots at Fremont

There is no high limit area for slots at Fremont. In fact, the casino is more geared towards low limit players for both slots and table games.

Video Poker at Fremont

With over ten game types to choose from the video poker selection at Fremont is fairly good. You will find the payback reaches as high as 99.80% and denominations start as low as $0.25 and go as high as $5.

Poker Room at Fremont

If you are a poker player, you’ll be disappointed to know that there is no poker room at Fremont.

Sportsbook at Fremont

There is a small sportsbook located on the casino floor at Fremont. Since it is right on the floor and not secluded there is a lot of noise from the nearby slot machines and floor. One positive of the sportsbook is the large betting board. It is easily visible as it is right between the TVs behind the cashier.

Another advantage is that drink tickets seem to be given out more liberally relative to most other Las Vegas sportsbooks nowadays. All you have to do is wager $40 on sports or $12 on horses to receive a drink ticket, whereas the wager requirements at other casino are much higher.

Other than the visibility and the drink tickets there wasn’t too much to like about the sportsbook at Fremont. We would say it is average at best.

Hotel at Fremont

The hotel at Fremont offers the following room types, listed below.

– Deluxe King
– Deluxe Two Doubles
– Deluxe Suite

The Fremont’s hotel has 447 rooms and was most recently renovated in 2005 and 2006. As of April 2018, the resort fee at the hotel is $14.99 plus tax on a nightly basis. In comparison to other hotels in Las Vegas, this isn’t too high but regardless of the price, the mere idea of resort fees is still bothersome to some. This includes in-room WiFi and access to the hotel’s pool. Check-in begins at 3 PM and you will need to check-out by 12 PM.

The deluxe king room at Fremont is 240 square feet and is quite basic. In general, there aren’t many high-end amenities at Fremont but your room will have a flat screen TV, WiFi, telephone access, and other basic room amenities found in most rooms throughout Las Vegas.

The double room is a bit larger measuring at approximately 288 square feet. Prices for either one king or two doubles can start as low as $50 per night and typically increase on the weekend to at or slightly over $100 per night. Their suites measure at approximately 544 square feet and included a separate seating area, refrigerator, and coffee maker. It is best to contact the hotel for the exact pricing.

Spa and Fitness Center at Fremont

As this property is quite old, there is no fitness center on-site for hotel guests.

Restaurants & Bars at Fremont

The fine dining option at Fremont is their Second Street Grill. The restaurant actually wrote on their website that their menu and restaurant is a mix of fine dining and casual dining and that is evident with the prices. You can find main dishes between $25 and $40 per dish, which is not too high relative to fine dining options on the strip. The menu consists of steak, seafood, and chicken.

Other restaurant options at Fremont include the Paradise Buffet, Tony Roma’s, Lanai Express, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Tony Roma’s is usually a good option as they offer ribs, steak, and seafood. There is also The Filament Bar at Fremont, which is a solid choice for cocktails and drinks. It is located on the casino floor adjacent to the 3rd Street doors.
